After last year's stop, also for 2021 the Piozzo Regional Pumpkin Fair gives way to "Pumpkin in the Square", a spin-off of one of the most popular autumn events in northern Italy. It would have been the 27th edition but the Covid-19 emergency forced the organizers to a reduced event: too risky and inevitable to create crowds.

On Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 October, in the historic center of the town, local pumpkin producers will set up stalls with their elite products, from pumpkins to wine, from corn to nashi pears to hazelnuts but also agri-burgers. There will also be pumpkin carvers, one of Piozzo's historic events, along with other selected stands with products exclusively related to pumpkins.

The Pro Loco will also be present with its pumpkins displayed on vintage carts and the technical-scientific exhibition with over 550 varieties from all over the world but all grown in Piozzo and cared for by industry experts.

"We are sorry not to be able to organize the event as we did until 2019, – explain the Pro Loco – it was a difficult decision to make that required time and planning but thanks to the know-how acquired over the years we managed to extract the strengths of the Fair reorganizing them in full compliance with epidemic prevention regulations, as well as safety and security. We are sure we can meet the needs of the many who, every year, come to Piozzo to discover the pumpkin.

To enter the event, the use of a mask will be mandatory and compliance with the green pass regulations at the time of access, unless different provisions are issued. The importance of maintaining social distancing and frequent sanitization is also reminded.
